Anna Young

After growing up in Hawke’s Bay, Anna gained a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) Degree in Marketing and then spent over 15 years in Banking and Financial Services Marketing and Communications roles, both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. After a move back to Hawke’s Bay with her young family in late 2019, Anna decided to pursue a career in winemaking.   Having a passion for wine and science, combined with her creative background, Anna took the plunge and completed the Graduate Diploma in Oenology from EIT in 2020, giving her an excellent foundation to step into the wine industry.

Anna joined the Trinity Hill vintage 2021 team as a Cellar Hand / Laboratory Assistant, and in May 2021, she was employed in the permanent position of Assistant Winemaker.  Anna is currently relishing the experience of assisting in the production of Trinity Hill’s Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay, Syrah, and Bordeaux Red Blends, building her knowledge and skills, whilst gaining an appreciation of the nuances that these vineyards and resulting wines possess.
